Project Description Region: Africa Country: Cote D'Ivoire Location: North Total Budget: $272,727 Area of Focus: Water, sanitation and hygiene The objective of this project planned by RC Abidjan Golf, District 9101 is to help provide drinking water to villages and communities. The Region of kong is composed by 75 villages and areas eligible for drinking water supply of which global population is estimated to 35 593 people in 2011. to this day, all needs are estimated to 101 works of well drillings equiped with human motricity pumps. the coverage rate is only 48%. in order to improve people way of living, rc abidjan golf looks for partners to achieve 15 new works. Kong is located in the North of Cote d'Ivoire, a dry area where women and little girls should cover kilometres to get drinking water. What means that girls are not provided with schooling and women spend half of their day to look for water instead of dedicating themselves to other activities which could bring in money able to improve their way of living.
