Benefit over 15,000 kids

Needs have been identified:

•There is an Agricultural Technical Secondary School where their tractor no longer works because they have more than 45 years of service

•The students of agronomy of the level of Basic Education work the land with their hands and their mentality is limited by not having access to modern technology and they depend totally on external help.

•They are exposed daily to accidents, animal bites, and intense heat, without the possibility of progress

Objective:

•Is to achieve a more active education aimed at strengthening, combining theoretical knowledge, familiarizing students with methods of production, and fostering a sense of belonging practices, adding a practical and theoretical dimension.

•provide a high level of technical education, through a theoretical-practical teaching-learning process

•Influence education and training in the knowledge and application of techniques that allow students to join immediately in productive activity

•Guide students in the knowledge of business practices by selling products generated by school production units

•Develop in the student the ability to actively participate in their own training, considering it as an ongoing process throughout their lives

•Provide the student with general training to enable them to enter work or for immediate access to the next level of education

•Intensify training of the student, as to the importance of protecting and conserving natural resources and the need to help maintain the ecological balance

•Promote cooperation links and working between teachers and students through the school and the community to which they belong

•That through the School units of production, they obtain additional economic returns, for the benefit of the educational work, tractor maintenance, and improvement of technological laboratories

How the project will meet those needs:

•Integrating School Production Units will be run by a Management Committee, composed of:

oA Secretary: who will be the teacher imparting the subject of appropriate technology emphasis.

-treasurer: who will be the Comptroller of the school.

-spokesperson: student will be the voice representative and surveillance.

-spokesperson: who will be part of the staff working in the school.

5.Send Contributions to The Rotary Foundation

6.Processing of payment by The Rotary Foundation

7.Payment to suppliers

8.We receive equipment in the City of La Paz

9.Transfer of agricultural equipment from the city of La Paz to the community of Ciudad Insurgentes, Baja California Sur.

10.Event de Donation of agricultural equipment and signing of commitments

11.Prepare the progress report to the Rotary Foundation

12.Visit the school periodically to monitor educational results

Specify what the project funds will be used for

1.- A "NEW" AGRICULTURAL TRACTOR, Massey Ferguson brand, Model MF285 Classic 2WD AWNING,

Perkins 4 Cylinder Engine (Naturally Aspirated) and power at 2,100 RPM of 80 hp and 68 hp at the

Power take-off. Engine Crankcase Capacity 7.0 L, Cooling System 14.5 L, Engine Capacity

60 L Hydraulic System and Hydrostatic Steering. Equipped with the following arrangements:

•Category II 3-point hitch (2,145 kg lifting capacity) 8 Forward and 2 Reverse Speed Transmission

•Independent power take-off at 540 rpm

•Oscillating Drawbar Category II

•100 L Fuel Tank

•Front tires 10.00-16

•Rear tires 15.5-38

•Front weights

 Price FOB LA PAZ B.C.S .: $ 25,400 USD

2.- A lifting harrow brand: KELLY, model: RT-18D, equipped with two sections of 9 toothed discs each

one with a 9 "spacing from disc to disc, with reinforced steel chassis, hydraulic lifting system with

tires and piston.

 Price FOB LA PAZ B.C.S .: $ 5,150 USD

 Total Amount $ 30,550 USD

How club members will be involved:

During the school year, visits will be scheduled, attended by the School Zone Supervisor, accompanied by the Technology Coordinator, as well as by a group of Rotary members in order to verify that they timely comply with the educational results report

The status of this grant is that The Rotary Foundation asked us one last requirement to sign a memorandum of agreement with the farmers' association where the grant will be carried out. We are already trying to schedule this meeting to sign the memorandum of understanding and with that, we believe that the Subsidy will be finally approved.

I inform you that a few days ago we still received some observations from the Rotary Foundation, and on September 28 the responses were sent to the Rotary Foundation. We are waiting for them to confirm that everything is fine and to finally approve the grant.

I inform you that once again they made observations to us on behalf of the Rotary Foundation and they gave us a deadline of December 31, 2023 to comply with those observations, however they also inform us that the project is on the right track, so we are working hard on it in order to comply in a timely manner so that it is approved shortly.
