Judigaun is the village located at Mandanpur Deupur Rural Municipality ward no-8 of Kavre District of Nepal. Though this village consist of 1357 people with female population of 787 & male population of 570 but currently 840 people from 120 households lives due to displacement by NepalEarthquake2015. Most of the people of this village are ethnic Danuwar & Tamang people both are indigenous people . About 98 % people of this village are engaged in Agriculture (traditional) which provides them food for around 6 months and remaining time people engage in daily wages labor. The literacy rate of this village is 66.76 % .
People of this village are facing the problem regarding the drinking water .Village has very old drinking water system which is outdated and it hardly provide enough water . According to the World Health Organization (WHO), between 50 and 100 litres of water per person per day are needed to ensure that most basic needs are met and few health concerns arise.But villagers are getting hardly around 7-11 liters of water . This water is used for drinking, washing the clothes, dishes etc, bathing and also for cattle .In past old system are severely damaged due to landslides in different areas where pipe system are buried . From need assessment we found that conservation of source and minimization of landslides are equally important for long-term protection of drinking water system.
The main objectives of the projects are :
1.Construction of new drinking water system to meet water needs of people.
