A totally new approach to population issues so crucial to the male dominated society in which we live.The project is a mentorship porogramme where shoolboys and unemployed men are assisted.The project is to be run by Zoe Life over a two year period and will make significant changes in HIV rates among women, pregnancy rates,gender violence and intimate partner abuse and condom use among men.
The programme will include a one year after school communication and mentorship programme with a group of grade 11 boys,a 3 month communication and skills development programme with 4 groups of unemployed men per year, linking to potential employment structures. Using stories and lessons learned generated through these groups, the creation of media and resources for future use and community impact will be gained.
