Dist - Nashik

Around 35km from Nashik, Maharashtra, India.

Number of Classes - 1st to 7th

Number of students - 260

Village population - around 4000

Purpose of project

More than 50 years old school building is in extremely poor condition. If repairs not done in time some of structure may collapse and poor scheduled tribe students may loose opportunity of education

Scope of work

1. Renovation of single storey school building

2. Construction of toilets and handwash station

3. Construction of 2 new classes

4. Compound around school

Duration of Project

Around 6 months for construction and repair work and at least 3 years for monitoring development of school

Our focus for this school

1. Improving academic standard

2. Provide sports facilities

3. Reduce drop out percentage and ensure maximum attendance

4. Overall growth of students

5. Health camps and adult literacy program for village

6. Ensure village participation in school development activities

7. To establish RCC ( Rotary community corp's) in village

8. Make the project self sustainable

Fund requirement

Around 34000 USD for structural work and 1000 USD corpus fund for regular academic as well as sports activities

Source of Fund

15 % from beneficiaries (5250 USD)

10% from Chapter3500 USD) participation

75% from CSR or other source(26250 USD)

Execution mechanism

1.Formation of core committee of senior Rotarians

2. Subject wise Sub committees involving maximum Rotarians

3. Involvement of Rotractors and Interctors for volunteering as well as to carry out various academic as well as sports activities in school

It will be ensured that proper documentation for each of activities will be done in proper format and periodical monitoring system will be developed to achieve targeted results
