Nepal is heavily dependent on remittances, which amount to as much as 30% of GDP. Agriculture is the mainstay of the economy, providing a livelihood for almost two-thirds of the population but accounting for less than a third of GDP.28.6% of Nepal's population is multidimensional poor and majority of them resides in rural area of Nepal. Both Earthquake2015 & now Coroavirus (Covid-19) has been worst affecting whole

economic scenario of Nepal and it is speculated that it might take another 15 years to come to normalcondition.People are struggling for their daily livelihood and also with expenses in the form of child education, health service etc. Chittari Pokhari Village lies at Mandandeupur-9,Kavre ,Nepal. Total Households of this village is 110 with total Population of 510 where Women Population is 301 & Male Population is 200 . About 90% people involve in agriculture and it is the main source of livelihood and other expenses. The literacy rate of people of this village is 43.69%. In term of ethnicity 90 % of population is Sarki (so called low cast as per Nepali caste system), 7% Bishwakarma (so called low cast as per Nepali caste system) and 2 % are others .This village is reachable within 2.5 hours as it lies remote area of Mandandeupur Rural Municipality & 63 Km from Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal.

Goat farming is a profitable business with a low investment because of its multi functional utility like meat and milk that are very nutritious. Goats are the widely use and most important livestock in Nepal, most of the goat farms are to produced goat meat. Goat farming is the main sources for generating income in rural areas of Nepal, people are used to maximize their benefits and survive their lives. Every year Nepal import more than 50,000 bucks for meat purpose so there is very good market for it. Important thing in rural area can easily farm the goat.When rural women are provided with locally adopted hybrid goat along with training in goat management and production, including housing, feeding, health care and record keeping, it will enhance and increase the family income which will helps to raise the family condition and better invest in children education and health.

The goal of the project is to economically empower through sustainable agriculture, especially goat farming, to boost the family economy of the Chittari Pokhari Village in Nepal.

The main objectives of this project are :

1. To enhance economic condition of people of Chittari Pokhari Village.

2. Promote professional goat farming for sustainability of people

3. To create confidence & dignity in the lives of women.

This project will benefit the 265 family members of 501 households of Chittari Pokhari Village

The timeline of this project is one year. Following activities will be done in this project

1.Construction of 50 Goat's Sheds

2.50 fodder forage & 50 feeders

3.Purchase of 100 Goats & 4 Boer bucks and distribute to beneficiaries

4.Training on goat farming and commercialization of farming

5.Insurance of 100 Goats & 4 Boer Bucks

6.Medicine,Vaccines & Parasite Controls
