This is an Humanitarian Project that aims to assist the community and its needs and provide sustainable and mensurable results.
The present project aims to improve the service to people with disabilities who attend APAEs from the cities of Santa Isabel do Ivaí and Santa Mônica (APAE Associação de Pais e Amigos dos Excepcionais, from the city of Santa Monica - state of Paraná - Brazil, is a school for people with disabilities or special needs). The main goal is to install a physiotherapy clinic with modern equipment and in an appropriate place. We have chosen to help APAE due to the entity 's lack of condition to offer higher and more appropriate quality care, improving the quality of the equipment and seeking better results on treatments.
Some of the activities supported are: providing and facilitating access to the essential medical services and health professionals; Funding postgraduate degree studies and courses for professionals whose careers are related to maternal and children's health. It will be also promoting programs of prevention and treatment in order to reduce the spread of transmissible diseases and lessen the incidence and complications of non-transmissible diseases; Strengthening health services; and lastly, providing rehabilitation and clinical treatment for disabled people.
The Project is going to be properly monitored and supervised by a professional Physiotherapist who works at APAE schools and also by all local rotarians.
