Project Description

Region: South America

Country: Brazil

Location: Terra Boa

Total Budget: $429,275

Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment

Structure and equip 01 (one) Anesthetic Recovery Room to expand the capacity to perform surgical procedures, offering support to the patient in the recovery phase of anesthesia, until vital signs return to normal.Improving the quality and safety of patients through the use of more modern equipment.

The local Rotary Club maintains permanent contact with the main local entities, through the participation of its members in boards, councils and other activities of these. In addition to this, we also have contact with other people in the local community who provide support for identifying needs. Through this network of contacts, we identify the need to be supported by the project. The idea was presented at the club's regular meeting for evaluation and after approval, work on the project's preparation began. At each meeting, progress was reported to all members and suggestions for improvement were welcomed. After the project is implemented, there will be monitoring as provided for in this project, in addition to the presentation of periodic evaluation reports at club meetings. Through the search for elective surgeries, criteria were established and the main problems for performing surgeries identified.

The project will be carried out from March 2022 Until April 2022, Schedule for the implementation of the project being 15 days for the acquisition of equipment and another 45 days for installation.

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
