Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy

The purpose of the project is to introduce ICT literacy among rural learners in Miseebe parish, Bulera subcounty, Mityana district, at Summit High school-Miseebe and Gema primary school, this will help the underprivileged learners in this remote parish and it's neighborhood.

The project includes training packages for teachers in these schools, hydro electric power is already available at the two schools.

Sustainability of the project will be ensured through: the training of selected teachers on basic computer management skills, having computer management committees at the schools which will include the head teachers, teacher in charge of ICT, security officer, and a parent. The CDO at the subcounty will provide additional expertise needed for managing computers in liason with the school management committee and board of Governors.
