Covid19 pandemic in Uganda has contributed to children missing school for the past two years. The pandemic has affected the already poverty hit region with many household heads losing their jobs and can not afford basic needs. With schools opening in Early January, many children will not be in position to report back due to the high poverty levels in many families. A pupil in Buyende Primary school contributes 15,000UGX ($5) for school fees but still many families cannot afford to take their children to attend school.
With a grant contribution of $1000, we shall see 200 girls attend the first term in school. And with an additional $5 we shall be able to provide basic scholastic materials to the 200 girls that will enroll in primary Education.
As for secondary Education, a contribution of 175,000UGX ($50) per child per term, we can see girls completing secondary education.
