This is for a dearly needed ultrasound in the Emergency Dept of Victoria Hospital(A government hospital). They currently have 4 that work full time at nearly 10 times an hour. 3 of them are about 10 years old. Normally these machines last 6 to 7 years. So 3 out of the 4 are on borrowed time. These Ultrasounds are vital in ER. They detect the probelms as fast as possible which is critical in ER. They eliminate having to send patients to another depart or for x-rays etc before diagnosis and thus speed up the response time for the medics treating the emergency cases that come in.
