The main objective of the Monrovia College (secondary) & Industrial Training School, Inc., STEAM Laboratory Expansion project is to equip the school's STEAM laboratory with the additional equipment, supplies, and furnishings to enhance the functionality of the laboratory to accommodate cross-disciplinary curriculum projects and the basic education experience. The STEAM Online Certification that the administrators and educators will receive from the University of San Diego Professional and Continuing Education department will equip them with the skill set and tools needed to increase student learning propelled by creativity and innovation. Educators will learn how integrating equitable technology into the curriculum can enhance the students' problem-solving, creative and analytical skills, needed to seek higher education and/or entrepreneurial endeavors in Liberia, one of the poorest countries in the world.
Need $25,000
This project needs to receive some pledges to go to the next level. Please check the "Financing" tab to see the list of current pledges. Once the amount pledged is equal to the project budget, the status of the project will be automatically changed to "Fully Pledged". Click here to pledge support for this project.
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
