Literacy rate is one of the most important factors in determining a country's overall quality of life. In order to improve literacy rates, countries must ensure that basic needs are met, such as access to water, food and shelter. Education is also essential to improving literacy rates because it provides children with the knowledge they need to succeed in life.

India's literacy rate has improved tremendously over the past two decades. However, the country's education system is still very much in need of reform. The primary reason for this is that the current system focuses on individual learning rather than community development, which leads to a lack of critical thinking and creativity. This means that students are unable to develop as independent thinkers and critical thinkers, which is crucial for their future success as adults.

In order for the world to continue to develop, we need to focus on improving digital literacy among young people. Digitalization is already having a significant impact on the way we learn and communicate today, so it's important that all children have access to technology in order to succeed in the future.

Results of the community need assessment have prioritized that, Smart boards are one way we can use technology as an educational tool in schools. These smart boards allow teachers to incorporate new methods of teaching into their classrooms without having to change their entire curriculum. They also allow students to interact with each other more easily by allowing them to create projects together while they learn more sophisticated topics at once too! Smart boards also enable students to learn and explore new concepts using technology to create a more dynamic learning experience. Students become more excited about learning when the smart boards are incorporated into the lesson. Many educators encourage the use of smart boards in teaching and learning. This paper presents a conceptual framework for the use of smart boards among students and teachers derived from an in-depth survey of the literature. The study identified the effects of the smart boards towards students' attitudes and achievement from preschool to high school as well as teachers' acceptance, difficulties, challenges, and perspectives on smart board use. The findings help articulate issues related to smart board implementation in schools and contribute to the development of smart board usage in education.

The objective of the proposed project by Rotary Club of Amreli Gir, is to equip and modernize the selected schools with such Smart Boards, so as to enhance the experience of teaching as well studying. Club has selected these schools on the basis of their education experiences, qualification & abilities of faculties & dedication of teachers towards students. The school selection process was done by a committee on scrutinized basis done in Amreli District.

These schools are currently providing many digital & technical facilities to the students compared to other nearby institutions. All the selected schools have necessary infrastructure & other requirements making it ready to use for Smart Boards. The proper training will be provided to teachers to make the most use of Smart Boards in their teaching process.

Rotary Club of Amreli Gir has a vision to establish more of these kind projects after successful outcome measurements at the end of every year. The respective school/institute would be responsible for the day to day running and adhering to the laws and regulations of the government. The school/institute will be maintaining the equipments provided and running the project from their own operational funds.

The Host Project Committee along with the representatives of the selected School/Institute will be continuously involved in implementation and monitoring of the whole project. The project committee with the help of representatives will be involved in procurement, installation, training and implementation of the equipment to be purchased under the Grant. The project committee Rotarians will monitor and report the progress of the project. The Project committee will obtain regular feedback from the Beneficiaries. The Project committee will be responsible for all the reporting to TRF. Project committee Rotarians will highlight the work of TRF in the Local community, Villages under the project, Amreli District, RI Dist 3060 and Local press and electronic Media.

The International partners will be in continuous contact with the Host Club to ensure quality procurement of equipment & its installation, monitoring and evaluation of the entire project. They will also jointly take care of all reporting to TRF and highlight the work of the Rotary Foundation in their districts.

The impact of digital education on literacy rates is substantial: according to UNESCO's 2017 global report on ICTs and Development (ICT4D), improving access to digital learning tools has helped increase basic literacy rates between 2% and 5%.

If these schools/institute gets these Smart Boards, the benefiting students can create miracles in futures. We request your co-operation and support in this cause.
