Project Description

Region: Eastern Europe

Country: Ukraine

Location: Lviv

Total Budget: $350,000

Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Water, sanitation and hygiene, Maternal and child health, Community economic development

Mobile Emergency Clinics strengens the medical healthcare system in the occupied areas in Ukraine.

The war in Ukraine has created huge demands for medical and dental help near the Russian front in eastern Ukraine where they are targeting hospitals and schools, raping women in any age and leaving dead bodies everywhere.

Simply rebuilding hospitals is not practical as long as there is a chance that they will be targeted again. Mobile Emergency Clinics, built on a trailer platform are the best solution because they can be quickly remobilized to areas where they are most needed. Our goal is to save lives of those people who are hardly wounded in this war, together with the sanitarian needs of clean drinking water.

The Mobile Emergency Clinics are built as 10 specialized units:

1. Medical Clinic, to treat rape and minor trauma victims. (4 units)

2. Dental Clinic , to treat trauma to face involving teeth. (3 units)

3. Hospital unit , containing beds for overnight stay. (for victims awaiting for transit to a nearby hospital). (3 units)

These 10 units together will operate as a multi-functional hospital, specially designed for war victims and can give medical support to 80% of the damage people are getting.

Manufactured in Ukraine: By this we support the Ukrainian economy and to create working places for people to earn money. The trailers will be 100% manufactured in Ukraine, built by a certified trailer producer.

The trailers are designed to resist damage from nearby blasts so they can be deployed near in a battle zone. They will contain a clean water system to provide fresh drinking water to patients and people in general, as well as an electric backup system with a 7,5 kW generator to sustain fully operational hospital 24/7.

The price for 1 fully equipped Mobile Emergency Clinic is 35.000 USD. We kindly ask you and/or your districts to support Ukraine in this war with this 10 trailers that we can save the innocents of Ukraine. We ultimately have a need for 12+ trailers.

Equipment: We estimate that 90% of all equipment will be bought in Ukraine and the rest of worldwide producers.

System Entry: Project dropped by Philippe Lamoise.

Reason for dropping: Requested by Lars Vestbjerg: We have received many confirmation from many Rotary clubs all over the world and I would like to say BIG THANKS to all who have supported this project.

In total almost 2 mill $ was fundraised where 90% was through GG.

Thank you to this site that gave a lot of awareness and it was the start of it all. Unfortunately clubs did not fund here, but contacted our Rotary club for direct partnership.

Please drop G-3013 fundraising here, we do not need it any longer.

Note from the website creator: Project partners have been notified that this is not the expected use of the website. Projects completed as Global Grants are expected to be updated through completion.
