The main aim of this project is to improve Education and Literacy Facilities, water and sanitation related facilities and overall school infrastructure so students have access to better academic facilities, all teaching aids required to deliver full syllabus and the quality of education improves.

There are many underprivileged schools in rural areas of Junnar. These are functioning without basic infrastructural facilities like well equipped classrooms, hand washing facilities, pure drinking water, Library, computer labs, science labs, sports equipment's, power back up systems, allied equipment's etc. Also lacking are trained teachers in the areas of Classroom Management and effectiveness of teacher, Content analysis and Organizing of learning experiences, Innovative teaching and learning practices, Personality and skill development, use of technology in education, soft skills for teachers such as storytelling, demonstrations, etc, Continuous comprehensive evaluation, Practices to enriched school climate, WASH in schools.

The schools that we have taken up for this particular Global Grant are:

Shivaji chatrapati vidyalay, Alephata- Junnar - No, of students 302

Saraswati vidyalay, udapur - Junnar -no,of,studants 465

Shivaji maratha primary school, Barav - Junnar -no.of studants 436

The project intends to ensure that all challenges and needs that have emerged from the Community Need Assessment of every school will be met with and schools and teachers become better equipped to offer quality education and enriching experience to the students who essentially hail from Low to Medium Income Families from rural parts of our district 3131.

By adapting this project, the community will be benefited by creating a HAPPY SCHOOL that is equipped with latest equipment and tools in the form of Library, Computer Labs, Science lab equipment's, furniture like classroom benches, tables, chairs, storage cupboards for library and labs, Hand wash stations, pure drinking water, power backups and solar power generators, Public Announce systems, Clean, fresh and pleasant environment to enhance the study culture and attitude , trained staff with updated educating skills and culture, sports facility for well-being of students to keep them healthy, better infrastructure to generate interest in education, healthy environment for sanitation and hygiene condition. The students with better education and cultural development will be more competitive in future studies. That will help their family to increase their economic income level in future. Teacher's training is required to • To create a permanent arrangement for continuous in- service training of teachers. • To train teachers to develop their own personality to be effective teachers. • To help schools to setup school systems for better learning practices. WINS and WASH training for a.) Every child friendly school requires appropriate WASH initiatives that keep the school environment clean and free of smells and inhibit the transmission of harmful bacteria, viruses and parasites. b.) Practice gender-neutrality

The primary rotary club, RC Pune Deccan Gymkhana team visited each school along with Rotary clubs that are located in the project areas wherever available. They spoke to various stakeholders like the school staff, community leader, students. With help of open-ended questions and drilled down discussions, the requirement was captured on the community assessment result form.

TimeLines - 1 Feb 2023 to 31 Aug 2023

The Project club committee members will be responsible for the entire project cycle as below:

1. Need Assessment to identify needs

2. Survey of the schools for need assessment

3. Shortlisting the schools for projects

4. Preparing the budget in detail for the project and finalizing the quality and reliable vendors.

5. Communication with various international clubs and appealing them to be a partner for the project.

6. Submitting application for Rotary international for approval.

7. Raising the funds for host club contribution.

8. Opening of separate bank account after approval of global grant project.

9. Implementation of project by releasing of purchase orders to various suppliers and agencies after the GG funds are received.

10. Supervising the procurement and installation of assets.

11. Ensured that planned trainings are delivered to all concerned.

12. Handover of project to concerned beneficiaries after total implementation

13. Submission of Interim/Final report to Rotary International

14. Carrying on Monitoring and evaluation in co-ordination with school committee of project for long term sustainability.
