Project Description Region: Asia Country: India Location: Moradabad Total Budget: $40,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy District 3100 Seeks partner for Global Grant for providing ecofriendly furniture to poor schools from Nursery to Class V who don't even have benches & desks and children sit on floor in schools of Moradabad. Recently news item appeared, a photograph and news in Hindi is attached herewith. The District Collector and District Education Officer when contacted have solicited Rotary clubs help to provide bench & desk and other needs in this regard. We propose to provide desk & benches to about 3000 children in approximately 15 schools and also cater to their other pressing needs if any. About 2 or3 Rotary clubs will jointly sponsored this make together and will work on it.
