Project Description Region: Asia Country: India Location: Tamilnadu Total Budget: $32,000 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment Post Covid 19 .. Focus on wellness and for early screening and diagnostics is on the rise. Physicians are promoting wellness and adoption is increasing.. The biggest area of concern is Women wellness. Cancer in Women is a major burden and WHO and Government of India is taking a lot of initiatives for screening women for detecting and treating early. A journey started with few like-minded people coming together towards "Fighting against Cancer". A detailed discussion towards early detection and cure to for women health in INDIA was finalised. A survey was taken and found that 1 out of 10 women are subject to Breast cancer above the age of 35 yrs. Now getting the screening done and trying to detect the cancer at the early stage for better treatment was discussed. We hope by 2025 Rotary International District 2982 will be capable of avoiding Breast cancer reaching the stage 2 level of cancer in its district and eradicate cervical cancer which is an WHO mandate for developing countries.
