Needs: To purchase an anesthesia machine, an anesthetic gas module, a double LED light surgery lamp and a bipolar electrosurgical scalpel, which would be used to treat high-risk and low-risk obstetric pregnant women who require surgery for the birth of their baby at the San José de Buga Foundation, which provides maternal-neonatal health services to the population of Buga and the municipalities of the northern and central sub-regions of Valle del Cauca.
An operating room will be available to attend low and high risk pregnant women requiring cesarean section surgery, fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology equipment in 30 municipalities of Valle del Cauca Colombia.
This will improve the quantity and quality of obstetric surgical care, optimizing surgical care times for pregnant women who require it.
Schedule
1. Physical adaptation of the operating room 1 week
2. Acquisition of equipment 1 month
3. Training in the use of the equipment 2 weeks
4. Equipment installation 1 week
5. Supervision and audit of the use of the equipment 12 months
The project funds will allow for the acquisition of the necessary equipment, with the respective training.
The local club will receive the financial contributions, manage the acquisition of the biomedical equipment, deliver it as a donation, and audit its use. It will follow up on the results of the project management. It will also participate financially with the project with USD 10,000.oo.
