Goal: To provide drinkable water for a highly populated vocational/local food processing village with over 9000 school children and women.
Children Schools is located in the proposed project village are Iju-Aga Local Primary School, Ogundimu Primary School & Women Cassava Crops Processing/Vocational center.
Available Drinking Water provision is directly from a a stream/river disease invested water and borehole well without any treatment or filtration.
This project seeks to provide 2 boreholes for adequate water capacity of 38,000 liters (9,600 galls) per day. Other components include Filtration System, Storage Tanks/Pumps, Distribution Piping Network and Service Points. The proposed capacity will support the school children population of 4000 and the nearby community, estimated at 5000 women.
Having the community served with the water will provide the project support and sustainability as residents Rotar Community Corps have been established and they have been meeting on how to manage the project after implementation. Project management and maintenance will be carried out by the Rotary Community Corps made up of teachers and residents who will be trained for the task. This project will be completed whithin 8 weeks of funds availability.
