Blindness is one of the most significant health related social problems in India.Cataract and Refractive errors are the major causes of blindness and low vision. However, a majority of the cases can be avoided with proper eye hygiene and accessibility to proper medical facilities. According to WHO estimates, about 70% of Indian public hospitals are situated in cities whereas according to the Registrar General & Census Commissioner office about 70% of the Indian populaiation lives in rural areas.

In addition to covering the rural landscape, this Clinic shall move on the adjoining national highways and stop at roadside eating places ( Dhabas) to check the eyesight of the Truck drivers stopping there for meals or rest.
