Project Description Region: South America Country: Colombia Location: Cali Total Budget: $42,150 Area of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Strengthen the decision-making power of adolescents and young people between 19 and 28 years of age in Cali and their communities, and develop leadership skills to assertively disseminate the knowledge acquired to more young people in their locality, achieving: *Promote self-care, exploration and knowledge of the body. *Raise awareness about gender stereotypes and inequality. *Promote the identification and analysis of gender-based violence. *Educate about sexual and reproductive rights *Encourage the creation of support networks in communities *Encourage practices and expressions of positive masculinity. Carry out comprehensive sexuality education circles in which young leaders are identified who will replicate these spaces for dialogue in Cali • Carry out campaigns in fairs, universities and communities, which inform about the topics discussed in the circles, led by the young people who participated in these circles. Follow up on each young person who benefits from this training, to see the results over time and the dissemination of the program.
