VISION: Provide quality education to the new generation through modern techniques.
PURPOSE:- Majority of Indian schools have less than quarter of the optimal Number of teachers per school. This lack of infrastructure is leading to waste of talent and energies among youth. Most of the students lack basic reading and maths skills which leads to low motivation and low confidence.
E-education systems aim to address this problem. E-education systems will empower Youth through technology driven & Interactive Quality Education.
Our club has done comprehensive assessment of the above problem and the need for urgent solutions in its vicinity of Thane city and in the assigned tribal areas of Palghar taluka.
SCOPE: Under the program each designated school will be provided with a system of an Audio-Visual e-learning classroom setup
consisting of Computer pre loaded with curriculum based audio -visual e-learning software for Grades-1 to 10 , LCD Projector and Power back up along with required infrastructure .
SUPPORT : The Setup shall be supported on-site for 3 years including
software upgrades.
TRAINING: The school teachers shall be trained to operate the software as an aid to teaching, without any attempt to replace the teachers per se.
BENEFICIARIES:- Our Club intends to install 40 units of E-Education systems in various schools. Our focus would be on the schools of Thane City and Palghar taluka, Thane district , which will have minimum of 300 students . The schools are already identified and thus the project can be implemented immediately on receiving grants and shall help 30,000 to 50,000 students every year for 3 years and more.

Project Cost for Implementing E-Education system and maintaining for 3 Years:
1 System @ Rs. 85000 or US$ 1545
Total: 40 Systems @ 40*1545 = US$ 61,800
CLUB CREDENTIALS:
Rotary Club of Thane Skyline is a relatively young club but in a small span of years the Club has successfully undertaken the entire development of Barde Pada , Savare Village in Palghar Taluka , Thane District . The Club has built the largest check dam in Rotary District-3140, Installed Water Filtration & Distribution System, Solar street lighting and Solar electrification of primary school, adoption of school by providing school benches, uniforms for children and other facilities.
The year 2013-14 will be dedicated in giving an aid to schools by providing quality education including adult literacy and English speaking programs.
Our Club is ready to contribute $11,000.00 with the help of sponsors for funding this program.
