Total Budget: $230,010

Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment

Building Bridges to transform Mental Health with early treatment by family doctor.

(see project resources here: https://adolescentwellness.org/bburesources/

Parents feel helpless when child is isolated and in pain while family doctor feels unprepared and has no time to treat anxiety, depression and ADHD. As a result, kids get diagnosed but not treated.

The proven solution is to train and support pediatric practitioners. This mental health transformation is underway- 6,697 children and teens already started treatment through this D6960 project. Uniquely Rotary, any member can improve mental health in the local community by introducing the program resources.

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
