Tell us a little about your project. What are the main objectives of the project, and who will benefit from it?
We propose upgrading the Pediatric Department of KRIMS Government Hospital, Karwar to provide improved healthcare for underprivileged children in this rural region.
Objectives:
Enhance Infrastructure: Modernize facilities and equipment with child-friendly spaces.
Improve Access: Ensure timely diagnosis, treatment, and care, especially for children from low-income and rural families.
Promote Health Equity: Reduce disparities in healthcare for children of farmers, labourers, and economically disadvantaged communities.
Beneficiaries:
Children from marginalized families, including premature infants, in Karwar and surrounding rural areas.
Families reliant on government hospitals for healthcare.
The broader community, through reduced child mortality and improved long-term health outcomes.
By upgrading the pediatric department, we aim to create a safe and effective environment for healing and growth, contributing to a healthier future for the region's most vulnerable children.
