The hospital will be responsible for overseeing the training being provided by the supplier of the equipment to

be used by the medical staff. Also , providing training for any new members of staff employed in the future. The Rotary Club Armenia International will be managing the financial donations received from all Rotary

partners. Through COLROTARIOS, maintain financial records of approved payments, receipts, bank

statements and ledger of income and expenses.

The host club with supply regular reports of progress to international host and RI of the project. International

host will be available to advise and assist in any way during the implementation of the project through virtual

meetings and hopefully future visits to the project. Our partnership was formed some ten years ago during the first project fair to be held in Colombia. Since

then, we have collaborated on any Global Grants successfully concluded.

How did your project team identify these needs?

From the local committee of The Federation of Coffee Growers with whom we have an alliance that has

worked on previous Global Grants. They contacted our Club to inform us that the hospital San Vicente de

Paul had limited A & E services to provide adequate medical cover for the population. Having received

approval from RI for GG2576103 to provide a neo natal clinic in the same hospital and with the help of

Rotarian James Sillers of the RC Global Passport (6330) we are moving together to improve the A & E

department as phase two.

How were members of the benefiting community involved in finding solutions?

By the hospital advocating on their behalf with respect to finding funding to make it possible. The committee

of coffee growers provided the link to the farmers in the rural areas outside of the towns as acting by way of

inter-mediaries imparting information.

How were community members involved in planning the project?

By allowing the hospital with all its experience to work for them, knowing they had their best interests at heart.

The professional medical staff will receive training on the use of any new equipment. The San Vicente de Paul hospital is committed to the training of medical staff in emergency procedures and also the maintainance workers on any new equipment to be supplied. See attached letter of intention.

How were these needs identified?

From the hospital San Vicente de Paul who reached out to RC Armenia International, after receiving approval from RI For GG2576103 a new neo natal clinic, by asking if we can strengthen and improve the A & E service to the community.

What incentives (for example, monetary compensation, awards, certification, or publicity), will you use, if any, to encourage community members to participate in the project?

The community members will be extremely happy to use the much improved services available for A & E patients who need it's help.

The hospital has on its staff, experienced maintainance workers who, together with medical staff will be

trained in the use and care of any new equipment by the provider.

Those maintainance workers will be responsible for the care of the equipment after the guarantee from the

provider expires.
