Providing drinking water connection to 200 below poverty line families residing in the neighborhood of Pabna town. The proposed project areas have major water supply scheme maintained and managed by the Government. To get a water connection to their individual houses cost BDT 9000 and in addition to the water connection the poor families have to pay monthly consumption charges. Rotary club of Aarong Dhaka is trying to provide the water connection to individuals who are poor through this matching grant project. Currently those poor people manage to get water from far away public water taps. Once a water connection is provided the BPL (Below Poverty Line) families can consume 10000 liters of water per month free of cost. This project will help about 12000 poor people in getting safe drinking water for their domestic use.
