Dear Rtn Jerome,
Top of the hour to you.
Our community assessment visit on the 20th June 2026, to Chokoloma Ehume Umuopara in favour of a proposed WASH Global Grant Project was a huge success.
Members of our WASH Project Committee and Mr Uche Nwosu (the community contact person) were joyfully received by the community leaders, youth president, leaders of the various kindred and villages that make up the community.
From the assessment, we are proposing a total of Five solar powered water boreholes at different locations within the community. The boreholes will be sited at different Strategic places within the Ehume Umuopara Community.
The community leaders led us to their highly polluted local stream that serves as their major source of water for drinking and other domestic uses as captured in the attached pictures and video clips.
We will fill out the Rotary Foundation Community Assessment Form, as well as develop project budget through our vendors that will be sent to you soon.
Thanks so much for the opportunity extended to us to partner with you Club in this WASH Project which we believe will positively impact Ehume Umuopara community in several ways.
Attached are some pictures and videos from the visit, more can be forwarded via whatsapp if you desire so.
Thanks,
Yours In Rotary Service,
AG Eugene Uhuaba
