Youth in Nyamasheke face high unemployment and little access to market-ready skills. This project equips and runs an ICT and TVET (technical and vocational education and training) centre delivering practical, employable skills to secondary-school leavers, targeting 160 graduates per year. Grant funds will equip the centre (ICT lab, vocational workshops and tools), train instructors, and run the first cohorts, with job-placement and self-employment support.
Timeline: 2026â"2028.
Host partner: Kibingo Parish.
The project is also documented on the Rotary Service Project Center https://spc.rotary.org/project?guid=D9F19DD2-6D66-45B9-A86E-F9D8326180D7 . Rotary members lead the needs assessment, curriculum and partner liaison, oversight and fundraising. The club seeks an international partner and DDF.
