Rotary Club of Indore will start 10 centers in the district for women empowerment. This center has to be furnished with basic facilities and necessary equipment. We will help empower women by providing vocational, health and other training and ongoing counseling services. The programs envisioned are: 1. to educate young girls; 2. to conduct literacy classes for adult learners; 3. to discourage young girls marrying early; 4. to provide reproductive health services and education; 5. to provide vocational training including tailoring, embroidery, CNC Operator training, computer education, manufacturing of food products etc; 6. to encourage gender equity; 7. to create awareness on HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases, 8. garment making and marketing and 9. Making of disinfectants and detergents.
The grant funding is required to provide basic facilities and equipment initially. The Rotary Club of Indore Charitable Trust will continue the activities in the center with donations from local philanthropists.
