BACKGROUND:
• In the city of Mexico there are around 13,000 street children (homeless) aged between 8 and 17 years of a according to a census of UNICEF
• The total number of children in the street grew 20%, at an average annual rate of 6.6%. The category of children of the street the growth rate was 81.3%.
• Growing economic activity was the scavenging with 1,550 %
• It recognizes the existence of children engaged in prostitution.
• Meeting point grew a 135.73% in this period.
• There is a new generation of children born in the streets.
• The potential consequences of keeping these kids on the street are:
• Crime
• Street children street children
• Prostitution
• Drug abuse and drug trafficking
• Diseases
• Abuse children
• Extortion
• Etc.
HOGARES PROVIDENCIA
The mission "Providence homes" is to restore basic rights which were denied to the children and youth in situation of street and high social risk, providing adequate nutrition, education, physical, emotional and spiritual development, but above all, provide them with the opportunity to recover the value of its person.
Achieve that boys, girls and youth in situation of street and high social risk who do not have the opportunity to live as dignified and humane, are in "Providence homes" security and integration mechanisms needed to facilitate their integration positively to society through training, orientation and human development processes.
In summary:
• Rescuing the child from the street providing mainly:
• House
• Food.
• Cloths.
• Education.
• Medical services.
• Psychological assistance.
• Rights and responsibilities.
• Opportunity to recover the value of your person.
• Full integration into society as an individual.
Facts of Hogares Providencia:
• 290 Children living in the facilities.
• 350 Children who are provided service already is medical, psychological or food.
• They receive donations from several governmental and non-governmental institutions for the maintenance of its operation.
• Currently has a staff of about 50 people, between operational and administrative staff.
• Lack of resources for the maintenance of their operations and growth of its population.
• Lack of supplies for the maintenance of the children of the street.
• Lack of resources to continue its work.
Proposal of Rotary Club Anzures Reforma
Based on the premises of Rotary International for long-term sustainable projects we have the Idea of providing resources for the installation and operation of 10 tortilla's Factory for homes Providence Foundation operate them and with this the following objectives:
• Give a shape young people's homes Providence learn a trade
• The boys and girls can have a decent and gainful work
• Hogares Providencia can obtain resources for their operation
• Maintain and increase the population of street children to obtain a greater social impact within the community.
PROJECT:
Together with Hogares Providencia and Grupo Puebla which currently operates around 350 tortilla's factories in the city of Mexico, and which is committed to the project, provide us the following:
• Sale at cost of all equipment necessary for the operation of the tortilla factory
• Complete installation of the tortilla factory
• Support for the selection of the location and area of influence
• Training and continuous advice free of charge
• Assortment of raw material market price
• Follow-up of the project
This gives us an assurance of the success of the project in the medium and long term since they we would support and would provide all the supplies needed to operate such business premises of manufacturing and selling Tortillas.
Business Plan:
• Cost approximate for each commercial property around 12,000 USD
• Total cost of the project 120,000 USD
• Average sale by tortilleria 10,000.00 monthly tortilla kg
• Net Profit od operation is 1 Peso for each Kilo of tortillas sold
• Return on investment of 18 months
Under the previous premises Club Anzures Reforma is in search of a shared grant with the Rotary Fund and the district 4170 Governor as well as other brothers clubs that want to or can join this project.

For this project in order to have success in its entirety will be available to Rotary Clubs brothers who adopt these tortilla's factory to give follow-up to the project.
