Project Description Region: Asia Country: India Location: India Total Budget: $40,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy We intend to provide infrastructural upgradation for a school located in our Dist. The support from our side would be to provide for the benches, upgrade the library, upgrade the Laboratory, provide clean drinking water facilities to the students, provide hygeinic sanitation facilities for the girls and the boys separately, provide for sports equipment for the students, etc. The school is providing education to around 500 children starting from pre-school upto Std 10th. These children belong to families that are below the poverty line. Also the school is charging hardly any fees from the students. The school is being run by a Charitable Trust. The students will be benefitted from the support and also the school will be labelled as a "ROTARY SCHOOL", which will help the community around to know more about the good work being done by Rotary and also more children form the area will start to attend the school which will help in increasing the basic literacy in the area.
