Yangshila is a small village in Eastern Nepal. its a remote village in Morang District. Its about 50 KM from District Headquarters. Some of nearby villages are declared as Open defecation free villages and are planning to Total Sanitation Villages. This village lies in the amid of Mahabharat and siwalic hillock. Many people are poor in income generation. We are planning to make this village as Open defecation free (No Open Defecation) in community. Under this project poor families will be supplied with low cost Pit Toilet with their self help contribution. In this initial phase the total total cost is around 290 dollars per toilet. With the VDC and DDC (local Government units) support 100 Toilets will be constructed and handed over to the villagers.
