Project Description Region: Asia Country: India Location: Ludhiana Total Budget: $55,000 Areas of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention, Disease prevention and treatment, Maternal and child health Ludhiana is having a Population of 4 million including 1 million of migrant labour and there are a few charitable hospitals catering to the needs of the poor community.The other private hospitals charge exhorbitantly where the treatment is out of the reach of the poor community.We have identified 3 charitable hospitals in the different parts of Ludhiana who need the following equipments:One is Ultrasound Machine to identify and diagnose Diseases, The second hospital requires a Digital X Ray machine and The Third one requires The Dental Chairs and X ray for the Dental Department.The charges in all the centres will be in three tier structure:One is 70% Of the Charges of the private Hospitals from the people who can afford ,Two :35% charges from the Lower Middle Class Strata and absolutely free for the poor who cannot afford at all.The Project funds will be used to buy these equipments and will be completed within 90 days from the receipt of the Grant Funds.
