Ludhiana has a population of 4m including 1 m of migrant labour. There is a habit of chewing Tobacco amongst this migrant labour which leads to Oral Cancer.Further the Schools catering to these families have no arrangement for the Oral and Dental Check up for these poor students. We plan to start a Dental department in a Charitable Hospital which will provide a free Dental Check up to the Children of the nearby schools and further treatment will be at a nominal cost. The centre will treat the poor patients absolutely free while it will charge nominally from the rest of the community. These charges will be sufficient enough to enable the centre to sustain itself after the grants funds are exhausted. The project will be completed within 90 days from the receipt of the Grant funds.
