To provide Table cum Benches in rural village Schools
Preamble: - These schools are coeducational school providing education to about 450-500 students from the village & surrounding area, from poor segment of society. The children are provided free books and school dress by the government free of cost. Other additional facilities are raised by donations and charity. At present the school children sit on the floor in the class rooms while attending the school. It is proposed to provide twin Bench cum Table (each to seat two children) for the children to sit on while attending their classes.
Needs: - The lack of these school Table cum Benches results in poor attendance of students, especially on those days when the weather is bad, and also dropping out of school children in senior years, absenteeism. This results in a large strata of society in villages being poorly educated and this impacts the growth of village households.
Maintenance: - The school managements are willing and capable of making this project self supportive and ensure its maintenance and upkeep.
Host Partner in Project: - The Host partners will work in coordination with school management to provide the schools with table cum bench, and ensure quality control.
International Partner: - The members of the international partner club will be kept updated on the progress in the implementation of the project through periodic reports and photographs etc. They will also be invited to visit the project location.
