Proposal Form

The purpose of this project is to provide for up to fifteen professionals from several Central Asian countries to attend a Water Symposium put on by UNESCO-IHE in Holland in February 2014. These countries face potentially catastrophic water issues in the region, both from the perspective of competing economically for limited water resources as well as the high risks associated with an earthen dam on the river in an earthquake zone. This symposium will bring key people together to discuss the issues, learn about alternatives and discuss possible solutions to the problems in the region.

the balance of funs in this account will be used to support a scholar from Afghanistan in the Joint Program for Water Cooperation and Diplomacy.
