The project is brought about by the genuine concern for the low morale and resultant poor security service received from the Karen Police Force which was in most part as a direct result of their very poor working conditions within the Karen Police Station.
The Karen Police Station is situated in Karen Area and it has 30 officers servicing a community that is suburban of Nairobi City .
The need :
Supply of fresh water for domestic use and kitchen gardening
We require A borehole to supply fresh water to the Police station, the Health Centre and the community around.
The baseline survey (Hydrological assessment report) has been done and the report submitted. Hydrological and geographical borehole investigations conforming to the Legal requirements and standards was done. The result was the need to drill a borehole of 350 Meters deep.
The project requires hiring experts to drill the borehole, piping the water and designated storage in cisterns.
Budget:
The total Budget is $ 50,000
The Rotary Club of Karen will coordinate the partners and community involvement.

Provide access to good health of three security officers
Support efforts of government in providing quality Security Services to all sections of the society
Help project the image of Rotary within the community.
This project on completion will be handed over to the county council by the Rotary club of Karen in the name of all partners who contributed to the realization of the project. No additional funds will be expended on the project by Rotary after the handover.
