Project Description Region: Asia Country: india Location: Dewas Total Budget: $33,333 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Preamble: The Indian constitution provides free education to school going children.The literacy rate in children has been very low. The government took many measures to improve the situation.However lack of constraint have been very big impediments in successful implementation of this constitutional obligation so far. INTRODUCTION: Rotary club Dewas will distribute desk to nearby areas school. The project proposal envisages providing 10-20 desk in each selected school.Each desk accommodate 3 students. The desk will provide sitting and slanting desk where the student can keep their workbook to facilitate writing. Types of Desk : The desk will be best quality. the average weight will be 23 kg per sat.It will be fabricated as per RI specification. Club have been done this type project with successful monitoring and reporting in previous year,hence there is no problem.
