Target Community: Underprivileged single mother households from the Juárez / El Paso area.

Overview: 25 single mothers from the Juárez / El Paso Area will be provided with scholarships to study a three year nursing program in the FEMAP Nursing School.

Sustainability: Upon graduation these 25 families will be able to address their economic needs and contribute to the development of their communities.

Nursing students understand better the health issues and concerns afflicting the bi-national border community and have the skills to be part of the solution.

A better health educated mother, will nurture healthier children and families.

By having a nursing career, these women will have better and well-paid jobs.

On April 1st, a committee from our partner the RC Albuquerque Rio Grande visited, gave a chat and spent time with the students. A wonderful experience for all!! Look for the photos!
