This is a global grant project for RC Kesrouan, Lebanon RI D.2452.

-->In a few short sentences, what are the objectives for this global grant?

The project is carried with Alyounbouh. Since its founding, Alyounbouh works for rehabilitation of young people with special intellectual needs, in order to supervise and train them in simple workshops (printing, food, decoration ...), help them live as independently as possible, find appropriate jobs for them, improve their quality of life and ensure their integration into their family and society.

Beneficiaries for the time being are 60 young people average age 14 years, therefore it is not only highly humanitarian, but also helps in the social insertion of young persons with special needs in the community.

------------------------

--> Who will benefit from this global grant? Provide the estimated number of direct beneficiaries?

Almost 60 young men and women with an age ranged between 14 to 55 years old all of whom suffer from light to medium mental disability, Al Younbouh also works in close contact with the families of the students offering support and advice and with the community to raise awareness

-----------------

What is "Al Younbouh"?

Alyounbouh has been founded in 1993 as an association out of nothing.

It immediately started, due to the need for a similar organization in the community. They only had the strong will of some mothers completely devoted to the cause of rehabilitation of young people with special intellectual needs and small donations funds. It developed very quickly gaining the confidence of the total community including families and companies.

It kept developing during its 18 years of existence with a very good management and appropriate care to the handicapped children as well as perfect maintenance of their buildings and equipments.

We have already an experience with Alyounbouh had already participated with them in financing a small project for popcorn machines supply and train children through the Club's funds in 2008 - 2009 and kept visiting them. Those machines are still kept in perfect shape and have generated income besides training the young handicapped.

In order to be able to accept more young people and keep giving assistance to the older ones,Alyounbouh started with an extension of its center for the older persons separately from the young ones and therefore will have more places for the younger in the existing premises.

Alyounbouh operates with donations, fund raising activities as well as charity sales of products made by handicapped.

Our contribution will consist in providing the equipment of a pastry where they learn to prepare cakes and sweets and work later in this field while their production will bring funds for financing their needs. The income resulting from the sale of products done with our equipment will secure sustainability. The project is not only humanitarian but also self sustainable.

---------------------------

The total cost of the project [as on 14 March 2014] is 40035,50 $ + 4003.50$ VAT= 44038,50$

The RC of Kesrouan's contribution is 13026$. The project was approved by TRF on 13 May 2014,

This project responds to one of the areas of focus "Economic and Community Development", is humanitarian and sustainable development. The project will enhance quality and quantity of goods. A training program is also scheduled
