The project is to offer a mini-bus to Bird's Nest,an orphanage,in Jbeil, for the Armenian boys and girls who fled the Armenian Genocide in 1915. In time, this institution was transformed into a boarding school for problematic families and separated parents. It is managed under the supervision of the Armenian Catholicosate of Cilicia, in Antelias,Lebanon.
A home for 60 boys and girls, who after graduation and a certain age get into the society and try to make families of their own.
Since, these kids need to be transported daily to Yeghishe Manoukian Secondary School, in Dbaye, to get education, a new carrier (minibus) is a necessity at present.
We believe that with your generous financial and moral support we can better safeguard the students and provide them with their basic needs.
They also need to refurbish their kitchen which is in a bad state.
Beirut Cedars will provide the bus ,check its use and follow up on its maintenance.
The church will look and maintain the bus.
The Rotary sign and the 4 way test will be on the bus and will be circulating everywhere in Lebanon.
