The not for profit association "Ajialouna" cares for providing free of charge medical screening exams and treatment for peoples in need across all Lebanon. The project consists in providing a bone densitometer to detect early osteoporosis for people in acute financial need. The association personnel is highly qualified to operate such equipment. The association "Ajialouna" is capable of insuring long term sustainability for the equipment.
Osteoporosis is unfortunately much spread in Lebanon and this equipment is thus highly required. It could be acquired in Beirut through well established local suppliers, who can insure proper maintenance.
Rotary Club de Beyrouth, the first club in Lebanon and the third in the whole Middle East, having more than 81 years of activities, is searching for an international partner for this most needed humanitarian project. The total cost of the project is 55'000 USD. The Club de Beyrouth secures 10'000 USD and is in search for the remaining 45'000 USD to carry on successfully this project., through International club, its district, and the rotary foundation.
