Project Description Region: South-East Asia Country: India Location: Bankura Total Budget: $20,250,000 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment The Rotary Club of Aerocity Durgapur since its inception had in mind to set up an Eye Hospital with a view to ensure service to economically backward classes without a difference of creed & cost of those who are suffering with ophthalmological diseases.It was also in thought that the hospital will run in no profit no loss basis.It is well known that ophthalmological diseases are rapidly increasing due to air pollution etc. specially in the Bankura District. Dr. Anil K Nag a member of the club who is donated a chunk of 2.5 Bigha Land at Belboni Village of Bankura District.It is also decided that the construction, maintenance and total establishment will run under the Organization of Rotary Club of Aerocity Durgapur. The District Governor Of R.I.District 3240 in his visit on 31/08/2013 appreciated the object and assured to extend his hands of cooperation in all respect.
