This is an economic and poverty reduction project aimed at creating jobs for youth ages 18-30. 1,000 youth from two cities will be taught basic business principles and how to write individual business plans based on their own ideas. The success of the entrepreneurial training for 1870 new generation students at two Universities and Polytechnics in Nigeria from January 3 to 13, 2011 and a total of 770 business plans by the students, provides a compelling reason for the dire need of the training. The goal is to double the number of youth reached, with a further doubling each year. A vocational team of 3 experts will be sent from Altadena, California to collaborate with Nigerian business instructors and Rotarians in a week long intensive training in each city. Viable business plans will be judged and further considered for micro-finance. The goal is for 1 in 5 to actually start a business someday that will create jobs for an average of 4 others, which will eventually create 1, 000 jobs in each location.
