Rwera special needs children's school is located in Ntungamo District, it cares for and accommodates 110 disabled children.The childrens' disabilities include: Hearing impairment, cerebral pulsy/psychiatric problems,physically handicapped.The challenges at the School are:i)lack of appropriate teaching facilities namely, computers, sign language dictionaries,hearing aids. ii)equipments like walking support equipments,wheel chairs, iii)Infrastructure (toilet, bathrooms) appropriate for disabled children.iv)skills development development facilities namely sewing machines,art design equipments.The proposed project aims at addressing the constrains and challenges by purchasing neccessary items, 40 textbooks/dictioneris,teaching aids, wheel chairs,10 sewing machines,20 computers sets, construction of 2 tolets and 2 bathrooms.Output is improving living standards and better teacning of these disadvantaged and needy children.
