Project Description Region: Asia Country: India Location: Koyilandy Total Budget: $75,000 Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Basic education and literacy Set up an audiology laboratory for a speech therapy centre at existing institute for economically deprived children and adults. At present very basic speech therapy is provided with only indifferent results and with facilities for admitting only about 35 children. The lab will be set up with expertise from the Audiology Department of Washington University, United States of America. The project funds will be utilised for acquiring needed equipment for the audiology lab with a timeline of about 10 months after funding requirements are met. Rotary members will be involved in raising funds and administrative support for the duration of the project and later monitoring of the functioning of the laboratory.
