Areas of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention, Disease prevention and treatment, Basic education and literacy
The project is to start an Eye Care Centre in a Charitable Hospital catering to the weaker section of the Society.Ludhiana with a population of 4 million is an industrial city where around 1 million is the migrant labour which has come from the other states for earning their livelihood.Presently there are a couple of such eye care centres but mostly are managed by the private doctors who charge exhorbitant rates which are out of the reach of the poor. With the start of this centre we will charge almost 50% of the rates as those charged by others which will be sufficient enough to maintain the centre on its own.The grant funds will be used to buy the basic equipment to start the Eye Care Centre including Examination Chair,Slit Lamp, auto refractometer,Motorised table,A Scan ,Phaco emulsification System and other Accessories. The club members will call various suppliers, decide the best vendors and ensure the proper execution and installation of the project
