I served the club and district at various levels. During these period I tried to spread the fragrance of Rotary by taking initiative to implement successful and sustainable project that addresses the need of deserving society. For the Rotary year 2014-15, our District 3211 selected me as the chairman of Focus Project. Under this focus project, I am planning to undertake a Global Grant Project for prevention and early detection of breast cancer for rural women of Kerala. The name of the project is "MOM CARE ROTARY WAGON" (a mobile mammography van). Breast cancer, a dreaded disease, has got deadlier for the women who are becoming vulnerable to the illness. Experts project that breast cancer to strike approximately 4.5 lakhs of women in India by 2015. The project envisages to provide early detection, prevention and treatment of breast cancer in women, who lives in the rural areas of Kerala. The proposal is to increase the extent, frequency and technical expertise of these screening initiatives to benefit the rural women in the entire state of Kerala.
