THE FIRST MOBILE computer training Institute program will be implemented in Sargodha, located in Punjab, Pakistan. The area of District Sargodha is 5,864 km2 with a population of 2,665,979. Most school/college in Sargodha District would like to have a computer lab accessible to their students. Unfortunately, they not only lack the funds which will enable them to have necessary computers and accessories, but also a well-trained staff who can help with that type of investment.
To address the issue, we got an idea to implement mobile institute in the district. This new initiative will benefit students, as well as the community. No other NGO is providing this type of facility in this area.
The mobile computer training program aims to familiarize students of different schools/colleges and levels with basic computer program. Technology, especially the use of a computer, has become a key element in all areas of the economy. Young people and students cannot find work or even be entertained without basic computer skills. The youth of the city of Sargodha are virtually deprived of this training and opportunity. When launched, this program will have tremendous effect on the mental growth of the students. It will no doubt help student achieve their best academically and hence, will help them shape a better future for themselves. It is imperative that this program is implemented as early as possible in order to help those who are deprived of any knowledge of this technology.
The Rotary club of Sargodha will supervise both the equipment and installation while LOGIX Foundation will provide all the support in technical and administrative terms. They will also schedule regular visit to the school/college to verify if and how the established schedule for the program has been followed and to monitor the accounting system.
