Project Description

Region: Asia

Country: India

Location: Sarurpur Kalan

Total Budget: $215,300

The Rotary Clubs of Calgary Centennial, Calgary Heritage and Other Rotary Clubs are joining forces to fund a sanitation and clean water project for the village of Sarurpur in northern India. The timeline for the project is to start construction in April 2015 and commission all facilities by mid-2016.

Project funds will be used for the construction of six public sanitation facilities, a centralized water purification plant and 300 decentralized bio-sand water filters in remote parts of the community.
